Almost Loved U sets the tone for the EP, with reverb-soaked percussion, multi-layered, deep soundscapes and soul-tingling use of vocal samples. Drawing inspiration from a wide range of genres, Koncide seamlessly blends his influences together here to create a vibe. The subtle flourishes that add that extra dimension to a beat are perfectly employed here and with stunning, minimal synths, Koncide creates a harmony between space and depth.

From the producer: “This one makes heavy use of a custom snare that I originally recorded by smashing a plank of wood into a column in an ASDA’s multi-storey car park, though please note that no corporate property was harmed in the making of this track! I also made use of sampled clocks and metallic percussion in order to give this tune as unique-a rhythmical section as possible. Though I’ll allow the listener to be the judge of that.”
